•Winter Weather Advisory
The National Weather Service is reporting that our area may experience winter weather this weekend, with light to moderate snowfall expected. Our Town crews are preparing for deployment. Residents are urged to take their cars off the streets as this will improve access for our plows in your neighborhoods.
The Town code currently provides for Snow Emergency Regulations which specifies restrictions on residential street parking from December 15 to March 15. Please be advised that if you are parked on a residential street in the Town of Islip during a snow event your car may be ticketed or towed.
It is also unlawful for any individual to deposit snow back into streets and cause obstructions to roadways. Additional information about these codes may be obtained at 224-5375.
Please call us to report your street at (631) 224-5600 or (631) 224-5380, or visit the Town of Islip website to submit your snow removal request. Please check this website for any updates about regularly scheduled recreation programming or senior citizen activities.
During major snow events, please stay safe and keep off the roads to help all crews and emergency personnel get the roads cleared. Thank you.
