Brown Bag Lunch Concerts

This year's Brown Bag Lunch Concerts begins on July 8th. They take place on Tuesdays until August 26th, at the Bay Shore Band Shell in Dr. King Park on Main Street in Bay Shore. They are sponsored by the Bay Shore Chamber of Commerce and BID. July 8th features Jimmy Pirone Trio,Jazz,12:30 pm.

Recycle a Bicycle

The Town of Islip Adopt a Bike Program gives residents an opportunity to drop off or pick up unwanted bicycles at the Multi-Purpose Recycling Facility (1155 Lincoln Ave. in Holbrook.) Drop off unwanted bikes and make a difference in the life of someone else. Bikes are FREE to Town residents. The Facility is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 2:45 pm. Bellone, Krupski Announce Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic

In an effort to prevent the spread of rabies, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and Legislator Al Krupski announced today that the Department of Health Services and the North Fork Animal Welfare League will offer free rabies vaccinations for dogs, cats and ferrets. The clinic will take place on Sunday, June 22, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Riverhead Animal Shelter located at 532 Young’s Ave., Calverton, New York, and it is open to all county residents.
