T.O.I. Women's History Month Nominations

The Town of Islip is currently accepting nominations for honorees for the 2016 celebration of Women’s History. The Town of Islip will recognize individuals who live and/or work in the Town of Islip, and who have made significant contributions to the Islip community. The celebration will take place at the March 8th Town Board Meeting. ***To nominate a community member you must submit a nomination form before Friday, February 5th.*** You can request a form be mailed to you by calling the 224-5310. You can also find the form on the Town’s website, www.islipny.gov. You can print it out and either mail it to the Department of Parks & Recreation, Attn: M. Figalora, 50 Irish Lane, East Islip, NY 11730, fax to (631) 224-5316, or e-mail to mfigalora@islipny.gov. In addition, a short biography, resume and letters of recommendation must be attached to the nomination form. Honorees will be selected based on their accomplishments and contributions to the Town of Islip Community. 5th Annual Legislative Pet Food Drive

NYS Senator Phil Boyle is joining Long Island Cares and Live.Love.Bark Dog Rescue in collecting pet food for struggling families across Long Island. The food collected gets distributed to families in need, ensuring they can care for and keep their beloved family pets. Pet food, treats, toys, and wellness supplies can be dropped off at Senator Boyle's office at 69 West Main Street, Suite B, in Bay Shore between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
