Suffolk County Legislator Rick Montano wanted you to know that the Suffolk County Department of Health Services is ramping up its Shots for Tots Program this month and encouraging residents to make sure that they and their children are up to date on their vaccinations, especially since the beginning of the school year is quickly approaching. On Wednesday, August 7th, 14th, & 21st from 9:30am - 2:30pm PRONTO of Long Island in conjunction with the Suffolk County Department of Health Services is hosting a Shots for Tots Immunization Clinic. Pronto of Long Island is located at 128 Pine Aire Drive in Bay Shore. Their phone number is (631) 231-8290. Residents are encouraged to check with their health care providers to make sure they have all the shots they need. For those families without health insurance or whose insurance does not cover immunizations, Suffolk County offers Shots for Tots clinics, which are part of the nationwide Immunization Action Program. First Tuesday Meeting - 8/6/13 7PM at the 3rd Pct.

The August First Tuesday meeting will be held at the 3rd Precinct on Tuesday 8/6/13 beginning at 7PM. This month there will be a representative from EAC on hand to give a short presentation about their Alternatives for Youth home-based program. This will be of particular interest to families dealing with adolescent problems such as running away, experimenting with or abusing drugs and/or alcohol, or other threatening behaviors.
