Brentwood Train Station Solar "Power Lots"

The Suffolk Solar Carport Project at the Brentwood Train Station is near completion. The solar power generated from the carport will be delivered directly to LIPA's electric grid. The project will serve as a unique educational tool for users of the carports to get a first-hand look at how clean renewable energy is generated.

Halloween Costume Drive

Let’s make sure every child enjoys a fun and safe Halloween.
The deadline for donations is Friday, October 21st, 2011.
With your help, every child can have a Halloween Costume.
We are collecting new and used (in good condition) Halloween costumes and decorations in the marked box located in:

Suffolk County Legislator Ricardo Montano’s District Office, Courthouse Corporate Center, 320 Carleton Avenue, Suite 4300
Central Islip, New York 11722

All costumes will be distributed to children in homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters and through local parish outreaches and other community programs.
