The Town of Islip is now hiring seasonal Marina Guards. Enjoy the summer days and work at night! Details are as follows: Position: Seasonal Marina Guard Pay: $10.00-$11.00 per hour, based on shift. The Town of Islip Department of Public Safety Enforcement seeks to hire guards to patrol Islip Township marinas from late May through September. Must be willing to receive NYS Security Guard training provided by the Town of Islip and obtain a NYS Security Guard license. Shifts are evening and nights. Islip Hamlet Community Cleanup Day

Keep Islip Clean (KIC) is celebrating their 25th anniversary with a special Earth Day project. They will be conducting cleanups at the Brook Street Wetlands from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and also at the Islip North Community Watch from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 5, 2014. KIC provides vinyl gloves, bags, litter pick-up sticks and refreshments. Students can earn community service hours.
