ROBERTO CLEMENTE REMEDIAL WORK PLAN
The team is currently reviewing a DRAFT clean-up plan for final submission to the NYSDEC which should take place within the next few weeks.
In an effort to help move along the process, the team has, in advance, submitted the Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation plan to the NYSDEC, which is a component of the overall clean-up plan. Yesterday the NYSDEC approved our Groundwater Monitoring Well plan with comments. These wells must be installed PRIOR to any disturbance of materials. The Town is preparing to engage the services of an environmental firm to begin this work. Commencement of well installation will begin shortly.
Simultaneously, the team is actively working to develop the procurement documents for removal of illegally placed material from the soccer field and recharge basin. The goal is to have the procurement documents ready for issuance upon approval of the cleanup plan from NYSDEC.
