Fire Fighters Historical Exhibit

An Exhibition of the History of Firefighting Equipment will be presented at Brookwood Hall, 50 Irish Lane in East Islip. The presentation will show the time period from the first bucket brigades through to our modern day firefighting equipment. Light refreshments will be served. National Pet Day, FREE Pet Adoptions

April 11th is National Pet Day, and to celebrate Live.Love.Bark Dog Rescue will pay the adoption fee for any pet adopted from Islip Animal Shelter that day. Application must be filed on the 11th. Standard application process still applies. Applicants are subject to home checks and must provide a notarized letter from the landlord if they do not own their home. Islip Animal Shelter is located at 210 South Denver Avenue in Bay Shore.
