TWENTY-SEVENTH ANNUAL YOUNG POETS CONTEST

Walt Whitman Birthplace Association presents the 27th Annual Young Poets Contest. The theme of the contest is Song of the Open Road. Students in grades 3-12 are eligible. Entries must be postmarked by March 15, 2013. All awards presented by a renowned poet. The awards ceremony celebrating Walt's 194th Birthday will be on Sunday, June 2, 2013, noon-3:00 p.m. at Walt Whitman Birthplace State Historic Site. For more information call 631-427-5240 ext. 113.
