Islip Town Begins to Fill Pot Holes

Town of Islip Highway crews were out in full force in the Brentwood community earlier this week, specifically on Pine Aire Drive, where they filled hundreds of potholes from Fifth Avenue to the Brentwood Train Station that were caused by the exceptionally harsh winter weather. Islip Town Councilman John Cochrane, Jr., met with highway crews during the operation to assess the damage and repair work, and thanked each for a job well done. Plans are underway for the complete reconstruction and resurfacing of Pine Aire in coming months, which will be made possible thanks to pending grant that has been secured by New York State Senator Phil Boyle. Town crews are out in almost every hamlet to make our roads safe. Residents may call to report a pothole at 224-5600.
